The criteria this year for Mother’s Day was somewhere that is child and dog friendly but felt super special for my mum and sister. I’m one of four and my older sister has two little ones so it’s never a quiet affair when we are all together.
I’ve driven by Heartwood Tearooms many times on the way to Heartwood Forest and after a little research I discovered that it was ideal for our Mother’s Day.
Upon arriving the ladies all ordered a glass of prosecco, my dad opted for a beer (yes they serve beer too) and the children picked pink lemonade. There was then a menu of teas ranging from breakfast tea to mango tea and everything in between.
The scones were absolutely delicious and the pastries were amazing with a little something for every taste. There was little lemon tarts, pistachio cake and chocolate profiteroles.
Heartwood Tearooms was absolutely stunning with the most beautiful teacups and teapots. Upon each table were gorgeous wildflowers and by the front door the prettiest pink roses and gypsophila (the flowers I had in my wedding bouquet). Each mum was then gifted a magnet from Heartwood Glass and some wildflower seeds as well as a bag of chocolates, which were quickly snapped up!
